Toronto is the capital city of Ontario and is often synonymous with arts, music, comedy, culture, and staggering architecture such as the CN Tower. Toronto is the largest city in Canada, the seventh largest in North America and is growing all the time with a great mixture of people, ethnicities, cultures, and history. No trip through Ontario would be complete without a stopover in this every-bustling, always vibrant city.

Where is Toronto?

Toronto lies in southern Ontario along the northern shore of Lake Ontario. The city itself is over 600 square kilometres long/wide and sprawls over a much larger metropolitan area. Over two and a half million people call this city home and there are tons more who come in and out all of the time—or just in as the case may be! It’s fairly easy to find Toronto since the roads are all well marked and it’s a huge city.

Things to Do in Toronto

A better question here would be “What can’t I do in Toronto?” because the list would be much smaller! When you are planning your trip to Toronto, there should definitely be these things added to your list of What to Do in Toronto:

• Visit the CN Tower. With fine dining in the 360 Restaurant, you can enjoy award winning food and wine while revolving gently and getting a full view of the city. Amazing! Plus, check out the Edge Walk to get up close and personal with the view of Toronto, the shopping, and events like the New Years Celebrations. It’s worth visiting CN Tower at least once.
• Centreville Amusement Park. Take the kids to this huge amusement park. With fourteen restaurants, over thirty rides and a nice run on the ferry to reach the island, this will alone will make for a great day out for the family
• Reptilia. Any lizard lovers around you? They will love this zoo featuring the world’s deadliest and coolest crocodiles, lizards and snakes. Even non-reptile lovers may enjoy these fascinating exhibits
• Exhausted? Check out one of the many of the spas across Toronto. You can get things like quartz mineral baths, water therapy, healing rituals from Australia, steam rooms and complete pampering from m head to toe
• Live shows anyone? Toronto Theater and the Royal Alexandra Theater have regular shows. Live theatre, comedy, musicals, you name it! And that’s not including the many live comedy shows scattered around the city as well as live music in many restaurants, clubs and nightspots.
• 10 museums spot the Toronto landscape, showcasing the rich history of this city and the surrounding region. Whether you want to put your kids in a restored one-house school or one of the most beautiful mansions in Toronto or poke around a restored villa, Toronto has your historic cravings satisfied.
• Visit the Rogers Center to see the Harlem Globetrotters or Disney on Ice or Monster Trucks or the Toronto Blue Jays!

None of these things suit you? Well, how does water skiing on the lake suit? Or how about the new Crown Lounge Nightclub for your after hours delight or one of many bars in Toronto? Maybe you’d prefer to visit one of the many street markets and rub elbows with other shoppers, buskers and homegrown craftsmen. The point is that you won’t be able to get everything done in a day or even a week!
